Dr. Ronald K. Risinger – an orthodontic specialist serving the Beaumont and Port Arthur areas with excellent orthodontic care!
Dr. Ronald K. Risinger, a native of Orange, Texas, graduated from Orangefield High School in 1981. He attended Lamar University and received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1988, graduating with honors. In 1989, Dr. Risinger was recognized as a distinguished graduate from an U.S. Air Force general practice residency program at Chanute AFB, Illinois. He practiced general dentistry in the Air force for five years, serving at Edwards AFB, California.
Dr. Risinger was selected by the Air Force to receive advanced training in the specialty of orthodontics. After three years of intensive study, he graduated with a master's degree and an orthodontic specialty certificate from the University of North Carolina in 1996. Upon graduation, Dr. Risinger served a three-year tour as an orthodontist with the Air Force in Tokyo, Japan.
Dr. Risinger has received numerous professional awards and is a published author in several international dental journals. He has also been an invited lecturer at national and international orthodontic meetings. Dr. Risinger is board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Risinger is a past-president of the Southeast Texas Dental Society and a member of the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Risinger opened his private practice in orthodontics in August 1999 in Beaumont, Texas. In 2002, Dr. Risinger opened a satellite practice in Port Arthur, Texas. He is honored to have families in Southeast Texas trust him with their orthodontic treatment. Dr. Risinger is married to Lynn Risinger, and has one daughter, Brittney, and two sons, Dane and Logan. They enjoy spending time with each other camping, boating and attending classic car shows.
Dr. Michael Nelson is a board certified orthodontist and a PALS-certified (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) pediatric dentist. He is also a lecturer for the UCLA Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
After graduating from Brigham Young University (BYU) with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Nelson attended dental school at UCLA, where he graduated with honors. He also served his orthodontic residency and pediatric dental residency at UCLA in a unique combined residency, the only one in the country.
Dr. Nelson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a member of the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and is also affiliated with the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson and his wife, Jen, have three daughters. They look forward to reuniting with family in Southeast Texas after living in Las Vegas for the last 6 years.
